
Sandra Särav
Sandra Särav is a lecturer in TalTech Law School of Tallinn University of Technology and she is the Deputy Secretary General for Economy and Innovation the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Commucations. She is a seasoned digital policy expert with a robust background in government and private sector roles. Leveraging experience from the Estonian Government and EU-level decision-making, she has served in public policy at Meta (Facebook) and led regulatory and sustainability efforts at Bolt, an Estonian tech unicorn. What brought her back to government was the sense of mission of building solutions for your own country. In TLS, she lectures on European Union law and legal framework of e-governance, has been involved in law school projects, and has contributed to several research articles in the field of EU law and law and technology. Sandra obtained her bachelor’s degree in European Union and International law and her master’s degree in law and technology (cum laude). She completed her in-service-training at the European Commission Digital Single Market Team, being a stagiaire at the cabinet of Vice-President Andrus Ansip. As an accomplished public speaker, she eloquently articulates complex digital policy, law, and sustainability topics, making her a sought-after voice in the field.
