Who we are

What is ENDE Project?

The ENDE Project brings together 14 partners specialised in European Union studies, all holding a Jean Monnet Chair or leading a Centre of Excellence focused on digital transformation. This unique combination of EU and digital expertise enables ENDE to address the complexity of the European Union’s digital evolution.

By integrating multidisciplinary knowledge, ENDE provides a coherent understanding of digital transformation and supports the development of tools and insights for its effective implementation across European institutions.

ENDE promotes European digital transformation by connecting experts and research teams to drive collaborative digital action. It supports EU institutions, Member States, and citizens in strengthening digital skills, improving efficiency, and enhancing understanding of digital policies.

Its main objectives are:

  • To develop a scientific methodology to measure digital transformation and assess its impact, enabling the monitoring of digital development progress across the European Union.

  • To raise public awareness of digitalization and its impact on society, institutions, and policy-making within the European Union.

  • To foster digital participation by engaging European society through seminars and activities with national stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and dissemination of knowledge.

  • To pilot a digital transformation impact measurement framework designed to support the European Commission in evaluating and implementing digital strategies.

  • To promote large-scale behavioural change towards e-governance at the EU level, contributing to the effective implementation of digital public services and policies.

  • To address specific problems by request of the European Commission or by own initiative, and provide solutions.
