Paula Andrea Ramírez Barbosa 

Paula Andrea Ramírez Barbosa has a distinguished academic background, holding a PhD in Criminal Law from the University of Salamanca, Spain, where her doctoral thesis on corporate criminal responsibility was awarded for outstanding achievement. In addition to her PhD, she has a Master’s degree in Political Studies and a diploma in Advanced Studies in Criminal Law, complemented by her law degree from the University of Salamanca.

In her current roles, Paula serves as a magistrate in the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of Colombia ad hoc, where she plays a crucial role in shaping judicial proceedings. She is also the director of the Specialization in Criminal Law and Forensic Sciences at the Catholic University of Colombia and a postgraduate professor at both the Catholic University and Externado University of Colombia. Her extensive expertise is further utilized as a consultant for the International Center for Corporate and Economic Law (CIDCE) and for the American Bar Association’s Rule of Law Initiative, contributing to projects aimed at strengthening the justice sector in Peru. Paula is a corresponding member of the Colombian Academy of Jurisprudence and actively engages in various legal initiatives.

In addition, Paula is a columnist for a major Spanish newspaper, where she discusses contemporary issues related to technology and cybercrime. Her involvement in these areas allows her to address the intersection of law, technology, and societal challenges, making her a valuable asset for international projects focused on these critical issues. Through her diverse experiences and deep understanding of legal and technological landscapes, Paula is well-positioned to contribute effectively to global initiatives.
